Signal Hill Musings
November, 2007
One morning in early October, I had one of those non-coincidental experiences that we all have at one time or another.
Gypsy Rose, our dog; Freckles, our cat; and I were walking along our little road. I stopped and took in the fantastic view. That morning the sky was a particularly deep blue. In contrast, the pines and oaks shown brilliant green.
There was nothing particularly special about the morning but I was deeply moved.
Looking up at the sky, I silently said, “Thank you, God, for such a beautiful morning.”
At that very moment, a monarch butterfly appeared. It circled once, just a few yards above my head, and then disappeared.
Coincidence? I think not.
