Images from Wichita Mountain Wildlife Refuge, Oklahoma

Located in southwestern Oklahoma, Wichita Mountain Wildlife Refuge has been protecting wildlife and rugged land since 1901. Buffalo, elk, prairie dogs, and Texas longhorn cattle all call this area home. Fifteen miles of hiking trails will get you into the back country, and thirteen lakes provide opportunities to catch a fish or two. Or, you might just want to enjoy the scenery and have a little picnic.
