I have been taking nieces and nephews west to visit our National Parks for over thirty years now, and on every trip, our first stop is Wisconsin Dells. I know that I will be torturing them with numerous hikes (ouchy!), historical places (yuck!), and endless driving (oh my lord!), so I like to start with a little fun. And what’s not fun about The Dells, the tourist trap — er, destination — of the Upper Midwest. Here, you will find water parks, lots of go carts, souvenir shops, Ripley’s Believe It or Not, duck rides (utilizing amphibious vehicles from WWII) on the Wisconsin River, and the Wisconsin Deer Park. Located right on I-90/94, how can you NOT stop by on your way to Yellowstone? I know I can’t!
