Ohiopyle is a wonderful state park (and waterfall) in western PA. Set in the Laurel Highlands, it is an adventurers’ paradise, offering activities from hiking (Laurel Highlands Hiking Trail or others within the park) to rafting or kayaking (Youghiogheny River) to mountain biking (several choices inside the park) to rock climbing (Meadow Run, Bruner Run, School House Crag) to biking (Great Allegheny Passage). Or if you like, you can just chill at the campground and then explore local area sites: Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob, Fort Necessity, Nemacolin Castle, or one of the areas many breweries or distilleries. So many choices!!
